A player at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort close to Sacramento won a $100,125 jackpot on Friday when playing the Buffalo Link slot machine. The California casino announced that the unnamed patron placed a $250 bet in the morning, which resulted in the casino’s eighth jackpot payout of at least $100,000 so far this year.

Thunder Valley has also been the site of seven-figure jackpots since it opened in 2003. Most notably, poker professional Allen Kessler won $1.2m on Aristocrat’s Buffalo slot in July 2024 from a $125 bet. He had been playing on the same slot machine for 12 hours before the big win.
The property, which is about 35 miles from Sacramento, is home to 3,500 slot machines and almost 90 table games.
